VGM of the Week # 40

With the recent release of Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, I felt the need to pick a track from it. Knowing that the 'The World Ends with You' cast shows up, I knew that there would be a track from The World Ends with You.

Then the Demo was released, and boy was I right. One of my favorite Tracks from The World Ends with You, was made even more awesome. So here it is, My pick: Twister: Kingdom Mix!

Review - Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance

It should be no surprise that quite a few of us here at Adamant Ditto are fans of this Disney-meets-Final Fantasy Franchise. I'm not ashamed to admit that when the first game came out 10 years ago (I feel really old saying that), I was skeptical. Afterall, it's not the First crossover people would expect, but it was pulled off so well! This game's no exception. It features brand new Disney Worlds, and brings back classic series staples, like Traverse Town (Of course, we haven't been to about half of this game's Traverse Town). It's actually one of the few games that pushes the Story forward, rather than filling the Gap between the Two 'Main' games.

The Top 5 HD Collections We Need

The video game industry loves reusing what it already has. Ever since the days of Atari, video game ports and remakes have graced every console, sometimes even with inferior products. But now as the end of the seventh generation of gaming draws closer, there’s become a new way for developers to resell the same ol’ games; HD Collections.

Did you know there's a Sly Cooper 2?
Now, a lot of people write off HD Collections as just a lazy attempt to make some quick cash and it some regards that’s true but I personally quite like the idea of HD Collections. I didn’t get to play very many games in the PS2 generation and I played none on the X-Box, so the idea of being able to go back and play games like Devil May Cry, Metal Gear Solid, Jak and Daxter, and Sly Cooper all on one convenient disc is pretty awesome. Not to mention, the graphics are prettier, most developers add trophies and some even release games for consoles they’ve never been on before. HD Collections are awesome. So, I’m looking at the five collections I’d love to see and what I’d like to see done with them. I’d do more than five but I was having a hard time thinking of even five that don’t have them yet so just five for now.

Square Enix punches your wallet in the uterus this July!

Square Enix has recently announced Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy will be available in North America  on July 3rd of this year while Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance will be on the 31st of the same month.

Here are Adamant Ditto, I think it's pretty safe to say that we all love Kingdom Hearts and most of us love Final Fantasy. Despite each series both having their respective bullshit, they're a blast to play. I'm incredibly excited for both of these titles with terrible names and am glad Theatrhythm will be out before my birthday!

Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy is a rhythm game where you tap the screen to the beats of various memorable tracks from Final Fantasies 1-13. The game developed by indieszero, the same company that developed Retro Game Challenge for the Nintendo DS! This game will also feature DLC tracks that seem to actually be content that is downloadable and not just unlocks. Each song available as DLC was priced at ¥150 in Japan so chances are they're going to be relatively cheap for North America.

Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance will let you play as Sora and Riku who seem younger in their appearance but the time at which this game takes place is after Kingdom Hearts II. We all know how convoluted the story is in Kingdom Hearts games but director and crazy man, Tetsuya Nomura has stated that "the ending will reveal many secrets". Knowing the KH series, take it with a grain of salt and just expect that it'll make things even more ridiculous. 3D will feature combat similar to Birth By Sleep using the "Command Deck" system. Circle Pad Pro is supported and will allow you to control the camera better. That's pretty good news and I might have to pick up a Circle Pad Pro just for this game.
