I got so caught up in my Sonic '06 review and playing Kirby's Epic Yarn with my girlfriend and the gang last night that I completely forgot today was my day for VGM of the Week. But it's okay, I'm on it.
I've known what my pick for this week was going to be ever since the last time I posted; the Throwback Galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy 2. Yeah, I know, every pick I've made so far as been a remix but they're all so good. Not only was the Throwback Galaxy a really fun little nod to Mario 64 but it also had a really awesome remix of the tune from Whomp's Fortress. It's kind of jazzy and upbeat, I like it even better than the original, personally.

Top 10 Songs in Super Smash Bros. Brawl
There are a ton of songs in Brawl. A ton. The sheer quantity vastly overshadows the quality. The amount of songs in conjunction with the ability to pick and choose which one plays on what stage and how often . It's arguably the best video game soundtrack even. Narrowing it down to a select few in order of how much I like them is incredibly hard. So I decided to set a rule. It has to be music that is rearranged specifically for Brawl. That means nothing like Dragon Roost Island or the remixes made for Melee. It can be a totally original piece made for Brawl. Just not something that they just brought over in it's original form. It's also kind of hard to explain in a lot of words why I like these tunes so I only included a little blurb with each entry.
With that, here's my list of ten favorite songs that are in Brawl...

Adamant Ditto Radio
Okay, so for those of you who don't know, recently I've been streaming a bunch of video game music on our Twitch.tv account during the day as "Adamant Ditto Radio." So far it's been going pretty well, I post about it on Twitter and whatnot and we've gotten a few fans, mostly our regulars like Serious Stick, PerpetualDaydreamer and ZombieFobby, to show up and chat with us and just enjoy the music. It's been a lot of fun but it's always at random. I never know when I'm going to be busy or not and have time to do it. But I'm posting this here because I haven't ever officially announced it or anything so now I am. Stop by every now and then and see if it's going on. I mean, it is right now! Subscribe to us on Twitch.tv if you haven't already and maybe you can hear some of your favorite video game tunes! The playlist I made is over 4,000 songs big so chances are, I have something you like.

VGM of the Week #3
So it's my turn for the VGMotW. Easy selection for my first choice. I'm not following Matt's footsteps and playing music from a game coming out today, which would be Skyward Sword, woo!
Viewtiful Joe was an awesome series that was a blast to play over and over again, with a vast array of stylized music that made every stage friggin' amazing. It's just a shame Clover Studios got shut down, leaving us Joe 3-less. Even though Capcom is still having all kinds of fun with their stuff in TvC and UMvC3.
Still, music, awesome, here, listen.
Instead, I'm picking something from a series which turned heads, got lots of attention, and it deserved every bit of it.
