Let's Try That Again - Super Mario 64

Our 50th Let's Try That Again! We decided to go all out with this one by having not one, not two, but four different people play a single player game. Yes, Ricky, Matt, Don and Phil all took turns collecting 30 Stars in our 50th LTTA Extravaganza! We hope you enjoy our take on one of the most popular games of all time as much as we did.





So hey, we've been putting up our 50th Let's Try That Again slowly over the last two weeks and boy, is it a doozy. We really wanted to do something special for our 50th, so having four people play a single player game for the first time ever seemed like just the ticket and personally, I think it's one of our best. So sit back, relax and have some laughs with our 50th Let's Try That Again.

Let's Try That Again - Pokémon Snap

Before we discovered Pokémon Showdown, we were planning to do a Let's Play of Pokémon Snap. We finally got around to doing that. So join us as we take a ride down the familiar locales of Pokémon Island, (poorly) snap pictures of the creatures in their naturally environment and complain about the fact that there isn't a sequel yet. It's great!





We've been in quite the Pokémon mood lately. Between all the battles we've been posting from Pokémon Showdown and the release of Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, Adamant Ditto is getting their Pokéfreak on. But honestly, this let's play was planned well before any of that happened, we just never got around to doing it. Oh well, we finally did and it's pretty good. It's also our 49th Let's Try That Again. Perhaps we should do something special for our 50th. Hmm....

Let's Try That Again - Metroid: Zero Mission

Ricky is back once again in the role of Samus Aran, saving the galaxy one Metroid at a time. It's been awhile since our Metroid Fusion Let's Play and it's always been one of our favorites so we figured, why not play another Metroid game? We landed on Metroid: Zero Mission for the Gameboy Advance and trust us, there's plenty of laughs, plenty of unrelated conversation and plenty of Ricky getting lost. Just like Metroid Fusion!



Finally got our entire backlog of videos up as of this Let's Try That Again. We now actually have to record things again because there's nothing left to go up! But hey, this was a pretty fun LTTA so go ahead and watch it. You'll enjoy it, promise. We did.

Let's Try That Again - Sesame Street Countdown

On the night of the sad death of Jerry Nelson, we decided to play a game honoring him, a game Ricky remembers from childhood; Sesame Street Countdown staring The Count. It's a simple game designing for three-year-olds but good ol' Adamant Ditto finds a way to make it entertaining anyway. Also, Matt sucks at everything so it's fun to watch him screw up in a preschool game.




Jerry Nelson was a very talented man, one of my personal favorites, and I wanted to do something to honor him. So why not play a game made for four year olds staring his most famous character? So hopefully you enjoy this. It's really short so you can get through it quickly.

Let's Try That Again - X-Men

Beat 'Em Up Month comes to a close with one of the most well-remembered Beat 'Em Ups of all time; X-Men the Arcade Game. Famous for supporting up to six players, X-Men featured some of the most popular superheroes of all time (plus Dazzler) as they took on Pyro, Emma Frost and of course, Magneto. Matt, Don, Phil, Josh, viewer Charge77 and some random guy plow through the PSN rerelease of this one one dive kick at a time.



Yes, folks, unfortunately, Beat 'Em Up Month has drawn to close but boy oh boy was it fun while it lasted. We played a lot of great games like Final Fight 3, The Punisher, Knights of the Round and even some not-so-great games like WWF Betrayal. We love Beat 'Em Ups and we hope you've enjoyed watching us play through a bunch of them just for you. There's plenty more we want to do so who knows, maybe Beat 'Em Up Month will become a regular thing. But until then, enjoy our last entry with X-Men.

Let's Try That Again - Captain Commando & Knights of the Round

So, I may or may not have forgot to post an update when I upload our Let's Try That Again of Captain Commando a few days ago. Oops! I also uploaded Knights of the Round today so I guess you get a double dosage if you didn't already watch Captain Commando when I first uploaded it.

Originally developed as an official mascot for Capcom, Captain Commando stars a team of super heroic super people/mummies/babies who are out to save the world from evil doers everywhere. Matt and Don take on this surprisingly short game but it's fun while it lasts. Get ready to pile drive Blanka, Shtrom Jr. and Scumocide as a baby in mech suit. This is Captain Commando, part of Beat 'Em Up Month.




Despite breezing through it in less than forty minutes, making it our second shortest LP, Captain Commando is a pretty fun game. The characters and locations are memorable, the attacks are fun and you can get sliced in two and bleed all over the place. That's just awesome. Though you do get to play as a baby in a mech so Mortal Kombat this ain't.

This one takes place in the middle-ages in the days of Camelot; Knights of the Round. While technically it would be a hack and slash, it's still basically a sidescrolling beat 'em up so we'll let it slide. There's plenty of ridiculous horse riding and jumping around in this one, as well as some pretty intense debates about salads. King Arthur and his knights didn't see Adamant Ditto coming. So enjoy this medieval take on Beat 'Em Up Month.



Though more a hack and slash than a beat 'em up (though honestly they're the same damn thing), Knights of the Round is a pretty awesome game. I had never played it before we recorded it so I was quite surprised to see how much fun it was. Sure, it might not be Golden Axe or even Capcom's own King of Dragons but the medieval setting and the level up setting made it a pretty fun ride while it lasted. Plus, the humor and discussions were pretty top notch in this one, if I do say so myself.

Let's Try That Again - The Punisher

Beat 'Em Up Month continued as Ricky and Matt played through one of the most hardcore games we've ever played on the channel; The Punisher for the arcade. The Punisher and Nick Fury kick, shoot and blast their way through numerous thugs as they try to make their way to the Kingpin himself. There's plenty of explosions, stabbing, flamethrowers and lots, of lots of manliness. You're in for one hell of ride with this one.




Okay. This one went up a few days ago and I should have updated about it then but I forgot. Sorry about that. I'm a terrible, terrible person. Also, I've been busy. What with work and The Dark Knight Rises (which is awesome) and Steam's Summer Sale (Also awesome) and Minecraft (Which I've gotten lost in every time I played. The caves are mean.) But hey, here's an update about it now! This one is pretty damn funny, too. So watch it. Watch it twice. Then like every video twice.

Let's Try That Again - Mighty Final Fight

Beat 'Em Up Month marches on with the continuing adventures of Cody, Guy and Mike Haggar. Only this time they're quite a bit smaller than you remember them. Yes, Matt takes on the adorable NES version of the Final Fight series, Mighty Final Fight. Get ready to feel awkward about how cute you find Haggar and Andore as we plow through Metro City one last time in glorious 8-Bit.




How can you go wrong with a Chibi Mike Haggar? You can't! Beat 'Em Up Month continues as I plowed my way through Mighty Final Fight....slowly. Not only is the game pretty slow, it was lagging like crazy. It's not our strongest from Beat 'Em Up Month but I don't regret doing it at all. If only because of how cute everything is.

Let's Try That Again - WWF Betrayal

Beat 'Em Up Month continued with an obscure little wrestling based game on the Gameboy Color. WWF Betrayal allows you to take the role of one of your favorite wrestlers and do absolutely no wrestling whatsoever. Instead, you get to beat up fat referees, Luigis and Cheech Marin. Let's hope your roody-poo candy ass can handle it because Beat 'Em Up Month was in full force with this one.




Where do I even begin with this one? Basically, when we were discussing games we could play for Beat 'Em Up Month, Don brought up this weird wrestling beat 'em up game called WWF Betrayal for the Game Boy Color. Naturally, out of morbid curiosity, I checked it out and boy is it a treat. I managed to beat it in about a half hour and I figured it would be the perfect game to get a laugh out of real quickly for Beat 'Em Up Month. And what a laugh we got! Not only did the game offer up plenty to make fun of, Adamant Ditto's own wrestling guru, Phil, was there to help make it even funnier and try to put some sense into it. You're going to enjoy this one. Trust me.

Let's Try That Again - Final Fight 3

Matt and Don return to finish what they started as they make their way through Metro City as Mike Haggar and the Mayor's Ninja, Guy, to stop the Skull Gross Gang. There's plenty of pile drivin', thug beatin'. and Super Meter wastin' to go around so get ready to turn the beat back with this SNES exclusive. Part of Beat 'Em Up Month.





Beat 'Em Up Month officially begins now! We decided to kick things off with the third entry in one our favorite franchises, Final Fight 3. Me and Don played through the first two so we figured it was only right to finish the fight. It's a pretty dang funny one too, if I do say so myself. So get your adrenaline pumping, it's Beat 'Em Up Month!

Let's Try That Again - Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land

Yes, we of course love Kirby here at Adamant Ditto and nobody loves him more than Ricky (except maybe Tim), so Ricky decided to play the classic Kirby's Adventure...But then he changed his mind and played the remake instead. So get ready to take on Whispy Woods, King Dedede, Tock Tick, kamikaze UFOs and green Waddle Dees in this GBA remake of one of Kirby's most classic appearances.




We've been kind of short on material recently, mostly because we haven't recorded much. Well, we have some footage for a future LTTA recorded but it's a long one so who knows when that'll go up. The point is, I'm sorry we haven't had much lately. But it's okay because Ricky decided to do a new Let's Play for us of Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land. It's a pretty funny one, if I do say so myself. So be sure to check it out.

Let's Try That Again - Wario Land 4

Waaah ha ha ha! Ricky takes on one of the Game Boy Advance's best games staring everybody's favorite king of greed, Wario Land 4. Join us as we explore all the areas surrounding the Golden Pyramid, find treasures, help Ricky deal with his plant fetish and do some pretty awful impressions. It's sure to be one interesting experience.





Amongst all the non-excitement caused by E3, you likely forgot we occasionally make Youtube videos around here. Well, I've been putting our latest Let's Play up over the last few days and to avoid interfering with Don's E3 news, I haven't updated about it. But E3's over so now you can enjoy Wario Land 4!

Let's Try That Again - LittleBigPlanet

This time, we're taking on one of the PS3's flagship titles, Littlebigplanet. Matt, Don and for the first time, Josh and Phil team up and create what may be the worst team in gaming history. There's lots of deaths, suicides, crazy physics and tons of humor. It might be our funniest yet. So sit back, relax and grab some littlebigpopcorn and enjoy Littlebigplanet.




I can't get enough of this one. It is just too funny. One of our funniest, for sure. The combined elements of four of us on screen at once, single hit deaths, puzzles that require teamwork and the comedic genius that is Phil Sykes make for one hilarious Let's Play.

Let's Try That Again - Sailor Moon R

As is common around here, this one happened on accident when Ricky and Matt were just playing some games. They ended up beating it and thought it was funny, so it became a Let's Play. So enjoy as they fight off Plok and Boob Ladies in the manliest beat 'em up ever made and try to answer the ultimate question; just who is hotter?




Yeah, this one happened on accident but hey, it was a fun one so why not put it up? It's really short, our new shortest ever, in fact and honestly, I wanted to get it up sooner rather than later so that we can get our next LTTA up in the coming week.

Let's Try That Again - Mega Man X4 - Zero Playthrough

We're back with Mega Man X's foray into the 32-bit world! For the first time, you get to choose between X and Zero, complete with their own story and cutscenes and unique gameplay. Since Zero has the hair and is top tier, it only makes sense that we had to go with him for this LTTA! So, prepare your butts for some Cyber Mandarins as Don runs through this one.




So Don finally got around to getting this one up. We recorded it a while back, even more Scott Pilgrim, but we never got it up. Well, here it is. It's pretty good. Don knows the game pretty well and David was there and he makes everything better. So yeah, enjoy that.

Let's Try That Again - Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: The Game

We do a love a good beat-em-up around here and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game is one of the best. Based on the hit comic books and the cult classic movie, Matt and Carissa take on Ramona's 7 evil-exes in this 16-bit, old-school style beat-em-up. It's time to hit love where it hurts but remember, don't eat the bread. It makes you fat.




While we wait for Don to finish editing Mega Man X4, here's another Let's Try That Again we had waiting in the wings. We love beat-em-ups here at Adamant Ditto and we love Scott Pilgrim so why not play the game? Well, me and Carissa did just that. It's unfortunate this game doesn't have online, would have been great to play with four people. Oh well, there's fun times to be had regardless.

Let's Try That Again - Venom/Spider-Man: Separation Anxiety (Live)

Part of our April Fool's 2012 Live Stream, basically, we played two games that we think are not so good, the second of which being Venom/Spider-Man: Separation Anxiety for the SNES. Ricky and Matt plow through one of the most boring and monotonous beat-em-ups ever, all while showing off their amazing butts and dance moves.





Although there is an occasional slow moment or two in this one, I think it was ultimately a lot of fun. There were some good laughs, mostly at how ridiculous the game is. Overall, even though I was late a half hour, I think our first April Fool's Day live stream went really well and we got some pretty funny Let's Plays out of it. So thanks to everybody who showed up and making it possible.

Let's Try That Again - Sonic R (Live)

Part of our April Fool's 2012 Live Stream, basically, we played two games that we think are not so good, the first of which being Sonic R. So come back to the city with us to feel the sunshine while we go back in time with this super sonic racing experience. If we can work it out, it's sure to be quite an experience.





On the off chance you missed our April Fool's Day Live Stream Event, don't worry, we've got your back. The first half of the stream involved us playing the ever exciting Sonic R for the Sega Saturn (though I played on the Sonic Gems Collection.) The music's a bit loud because I'm a moron and didn't realize just how loud the recording was picking it up but you can still hear us.

Let's Try That Again - Final Fight

Matt and Don are back with another Beat-em-up, this time it's the original Final Fight for the arcade. Now, this one was filmed pretty late at night, which is why there's only four of us. But hey, we can't deny you another beat-em-up Adamant Ditto style. So sit back and watch us take on Damnd, Poison, Abigail and the rest of Metro City's criminal element mayor style.




Beat-em-ups are almost always a fun way to kill some time with a buddy which is why we enjoy doing them here at Adamant Ditto. Good laughs are had when two or more of us take the streets and just start wailing on dudes. While they never seem to have great lasting appeal, which is why you don't see many these days, they're still fun while they last and some of the best multiplayer experiences around. I look forward to playing more for the channel and I especially look forward to that new Double Dragon game. Can't wait to resume the role of Bimmy Lee and kick some ass.

Let's Try That Again - Kirby's Epic Yarn

Here's a Let's Try That Again that wasn't meant for the channel. Matt's girlfriend, Carissa, wanted to play Kirby's Epic Yarn with him and the rest of Adamant Ditto one night and one thing lead to another and we ended up deciding on putting it on the channel. There's a lot of off-topic conversations about Final Fantasy and technical problems but hey, it is us.




Yeah, so, me and my girlfriend played through Kirby's Epic Yarn and it was fun. We're terrible at it but that's a standard now. This LTTA was never meant to actually be a LTTA so there's a lot of off-topic conversations and stuff like that but hey, it can still be fun right? RIGHT!? Anyway, if you like Kirby or, hell, Final Fantasy, you're sure to enjoy it. Maybe.
