Extra Joy #6 - 2012 Year in Review
At the start of every year, we discuss the year that just passed in a very big podcast. We've done it twice before and now we've done it again. The six of us, and later Phil, sat down for almost three hours and just talked about all the games that came out in 2012 that we played. So sit back, pop a game in, grab some snacks and listen to us ramble about 2012 in gaming.

Top 10 DLC Characters I Want to See in PSASBR
Well, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale (aka Pizzabeer to the Adamant Ditto crew) is coming out this upcoming Tuesday, and as you might know, I'm really excited for it. I think the developers has put a lot of love into the game and has made it different enough from Smash for it to stand on its own gameplay wise. At launch, the character roster is honestly kind of butt but they recently announced two DLC characters, Kat and Emmet, so there's still a good chance that a character people are clamoring for can show up. So, here's 10 of my most wanted characters that I'd like to see playable in Pizzabeer.

Quirky Ditto - Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale Beta Impressions
So recently, Don won a beta key for the upcoming mascot brawler, Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale and through the magic of technology, I got to get my hands on it too. So hey, why not do some hands-on impressions and gameplay footage for all you lovely viewers? There's two parts so be sure to check both of them out. It's a pretty fun game and we cover quite a bit, we think anyway. But hey, we're not professionals so don't blame us if we missed something. Or if we swear when we die. A lot.

Seth Killian joins Sony's Santa Monica Studio
We previously mentioned on our blog that Seth Killian left Capcom and his position as the Community Manager and Special Combat Advisor. Since then, people wondered what was next for Seth Killian. Well, today Seth announced that he has joined Sony as the lead game designer for the external group at the Santa Monica Studio which means he will be involved with the development of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. Seth explains in his PlayStation.Blog post:
"Fighting games are very close to my heart, and as someone that’s spent much of my life with traditional fighters, All-Stars has been a great opportunity to take a step back and rethink fighting fundamentals from the ground up. The entire team was put together from scratch to create this game, and they are loaded with fighting game superstars (including some impressive tournament credentials–I’m not even the first EVO finalist to join the team!) who love great combat just as much as I do."Seth then goes and talks about PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.
"All-Stars is also a total love-letter to Sony fans. From the characters, to their special moves, to the incredible level 3 supers, and the stages themselves, I’m not sure there’s ever been such a giant dose of fan-service in Sony history. Beyond great character designs or all the ingenious little ideas that make combat feel great, the real test of a great game to me is that “just *one* more game!” feeling. If it’s 3am and you have to work the next day, but you’ve still got the urge to play again, you know you’re doing something right. You only have to walk through SuperBot’s studio and see all the staff being scolded to stop playing their own game and get back to work to know that they’ve really got something special cooking."

Seven Things I Want Announced At E3
Yes my friends, it’s that time of the year again. A time for
us to all huddle around our computer screens for four whole days and watch as
our favorite developers and studios go up on stage to either embarrass themselves
or blow us all away. I’m of course talking about E3. When it comes to the
gaming world, nothing is bigger than E3. All the developers get together and
announce all kinds of new stuff to knock our nerdy little socks off. Well,
unless you’re Valve.

This year’s E3 is already underway, with Microsoft’s
conference already taking place, offering little fanfare and nothing
interesting except Halo 4 and a South Park RPG. However, all the other
companies have still yet to go so might as well get some last minute
speculation in there. Here are seven things I’d love to see announce at E3.
Now, I tried to be a little realistic here. No ridiculous pipedreams like an
Elite Beat Agents sequel or even a Smash Bros. announcement. Just going with
things that seem plausible. (For the most part.)
