Disney Infinity Announced for a Summer Release

Pokémon X and Y? What's that? Let's talk about something far more exciting; Disney Infinity.

A while back, rumors started to circle about an upcoming Disney Interactive project that was being designed to out Skylanders Skylanders and feature a wealth of Disney characters. Concept art surfaced earlier in the month, like the picture I used for the header, but few details were released about the game other than the title and the fact that it would bring a bunch of Disney characters together. Today, the game was officially announced and it is glorious.

Review - Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion XL

If you haven't seen it already, Steven reviewed Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion XL for Xbox 360 (a "Super" version of the same game on 3DS that's also available on Wii, PS3). Steven worked really hard to make it look like it was produced professionally and it really shows. So, check it out, comment, and tell Steven he should do more!

Also, if you're wondering where the art for Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion XL made to look like the Brawl boxart came from, Steven drew it himself! (Boy, that was a mouthful) You can see a higher res version on his facebook here.

Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two Coming This Fall

We've mentioned Epic Mickey a few times in our videos here at Adamant Ditto. This was a game several of us (especially me) were excited about but it didn't quite deliver on the expectations. While the atmosphere, the story and the graphics were all top notch, the camera was garbage, the controls were clunky and there was far too many fetch quests. It wasn't very "epic" at all. Still, a sequel with those problems fixed was something we'd like to see and today, Disney and Warren Spector have announced just that sequel.

Coming to the Wii, PS3 and X-Box 360 this fall, Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two will feature drop-in, drop-out co-op with Mickey and Oswald, it'll feature a fixed camera, new areas to explore and most interesting of all, it's going to be a musical.

"I'm such a geek about musicals. I love the co-op and next-gen stuff, but for me, when a character breaks into song, which they do on a regular basis in this game, it's magic." - Warren Spector
He also mentioned that Oswald will be there to help whether you're playing alone or with a friend, that the camera has had over 1,000 specific changes made to it and he hopes "you will not have to touch the manual camera controls even once to play through the main story path of this game."And that Frontierland, from Disneyland, will be one of several new areas to be included in the game.

While I myself will remain cautiously optimistic, consider me very interested. I love Disney and the concept of the first one was fantastic so if they can pull this off with fixed controls and camera angles, and with sweet, sweet HD graphics on the PS3, then this could end up being one of the best games of the year.

Review - Sonic Generations

Sonic The Hedgehog has been one of gaming’s most recognisable faces since his debut twenty years ago. His “way past cool” attitude and insatiable need for speed has earned the love of millions worldwide, and his fanbase has remained loyal through good times and bad – unfortunately, bad times have been dangerously abundant in recent years for the blue blur. A series of mediocre titles may have tarnished Sonic’s legacy somewhat, but Sega is striving to repair the damage by literally taking the series back to its glory days with Sonic Generations.

Christopher Walken: The Car: The Video Game

Gamers never cease to impress me with their dedication to their field. Whether it's filming incredible speed runs on Youtube or making ridiculous stages in Super Mario World, fans are lovably insane. But today I discovered something relevant to the interests of Adamant Ditto and if you've watched our videos regularly, you'll understand why.

Needs more bears.

Yes, that is Christopher Walken the car or the Walkenmobile as I like to call it. It was designed by gamer afxwinter and is one of his many high class designs in the X-Box 360 game Forza Motorsport 4.

Now admittedly, I've never played Forza 4 nor did I know there was four of them but I just couldn't pass up posting something involving both gaming and Christopher Walken, hero of Adamant Ditto. If you do happen to play the game, you should track this design down and download it yourself (assuming you can do that). Do it for us if nothing else.
