Let's Try That Agains

We here at Adamant Ditto are gamers, you all know that. But we're not good gamers. So what better way to show the world what we aren't made of than through a Let's Play? Yes, we play through a bunch of different games from beginning to end with our expert commentary and tons of deaths. We're real gamers playing real games. We don't do "no hit runs" or "three heart runs," no, we play games the way they were meant to be played; through trial and error! And occasionally savestates. Thus the name "Let's Try That Again." Here's what we've got so far...

Aladdin (SNES)

It's Don's first solo outing in a Let's Try That Again. This time, he's a street rat in this classic sidescrolling platformer developed by CAPCOM. Join us as we relive the Disney classic movie with levels accurately reflecting scenes from the movie!

Disclaimer: The levels in Aladdin do not actually come from scenes in the movie.

Astro Boy: Omega Factor

Here's a let's play we've been planning awhile. Astro Boy: Omega Factor is a game made by Treasure for the Gameboy Advance that Ricky likes a lot. So sit back and watch him work his way through this hefty game (while dying a bit) and maybe even learn a little about Astro Boy and his vivid history. This Let's Play has a lot of problems both on our part and the technical side.

Captain Commando

Originally developed as an official mascot for Capcom, Captain Commando stars a team of super heroic super people/mummies/babies who are out to save the world from evil doers everywhere. Matt and Don take on this surprisingly short game but it's fun while it lasts. Get ready to pile drive Blanka, Shtrom Jr. and Scumocide as a baby in mech suit. This is Captain Commando, part of Beat 'Em Up Month.

Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest

This one was a long time coming. We attempted to do this LTTA in our first few months of making videos but due to technical problems, it never worked out. But we finally got around to it and it turned out pretty good! Ricky knows everything about this game and we brought David along for the ride as well since he also knows everything. So be sure to check out one of the best platformers of all time.

Final Fight

Matt and Don are back with another Beat-em-up, this time it's the original Final Fight for the arcade. Now, this one was filmed pretty late at night, which is why there's only four of us. But hey, we can't deny you another beat-em-up Adamant Ditto style. So sit back and watch us take on Damnd, Poison, Abigail and the rest of Metro City's criminal element mayor style.

 Final Fight 2

Perhaps one of our most ridiculous Let's Plays, Final Fight 2 happened when Matt and Don decided they were bored. So they recorded them playing this game in it's entirety. At least until they lost to the final boss. But don't worry, Don went back later and recorded himself beating it so it is complete. It's also one of our funniest LTTAs so enjoy that!

Final Fight 3

Matt and Don return to finish what they started as they make their way through Metro City as Mike Haggar and the Mayor's Ninja, Guy, to stop the Skull Gross Gang. There's plenty of pile drivin', thug beatin'. and Super Meter wastin' to go around so get ready to turn the beat back with this SNES exclusive. Part of Beat 'Em Up Month.

The Great Circus Mystery Starring Mickey and Minnie Mouse

So here's a Let's Play that was never meant to happen. Ricky and Matt were just playing some SNES games one day, decided to record and wouldn't ya know it, they beat a game! So why not put in on the channel?

Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land

Yes, we of course love Kirby here at Adamant Ditto and nobody loves him more than Ricky (except maybe Tim), so Ricky decided to play the classic Kirby's Adventure...But then he changed his mind and played the remake instead. So get ready to take on Whispy Woods, King Dedede, Tock Tick, kamikaze UFOs and green Waddle Dees in this GBA remake of one of Kirby's most classic appearances.

Kirby Super Star

Our first Co-Op and SNES Let's Play, Kirby Super Star is still one of our best. Ricky, Matt and Don work their way through one of the best games on the SNES. Just don't let Matt and Don play the Arena together. Trust us.

Kirby's Dream Land 3

This Let's Play just sort of came out of nowhere. In anticipation for Kirby's Return to Dreamland, we decided to play Dream Land 3 one night and well, this is what we got. It's full of us sucking, both figuratively and literally, and lots of cleaning.

Kirby's Epic Yarn

Here's a Let's Try That Again that wasn't meant for the channel. Matt's girlfriend, Carissa, wanted to play Kirby's Epic Yarn with him and the rest of Adamant Ditto one night and one thing lead to another and we ended up deciding on putting it on the channel. There's a lot of off topic conversations about Final Fantasy and technical problems but hey, it is us.

Knights of the Round

This one takes place in the middle-ages in the days of Camelot; Knights of the Round. While technically it would be a hack and slash, it's still basically a sidescrolling beat 'em up so we'll let it slide. There's plenty of ridiculous horse riding and jumping around in this one, as well as some pretty intense debates about salads. King Arthur and his knights didn't see Adamant Ditto coming. So enjoy this medieval take on Beat 'Em Up Month.

Left 4 Dead 2

For our 2012 Halloween Special, Matt, Don, Kyle, Phil and for the first time, Jess, played through all the main campaigns in Left 4 Dead 2. We fail to come together as a team, die numerous times and took three different days to complete this LTTA but hey, it's a pretty dang funny one so be sure to check it out!

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

Matt was late to the party in getting the game so he decided to play and share it with his friends completely blind (For Matt, anyway.) And hey, wouldn't you know, it's worth putting on the channel. Get ready to explore the world of Hyrule before it was known as such and save Zelda for the first time in Adamant Ditto history. This is The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

LittleBigPlanet

This time, we're taking on one of the PS3's flagship titles, Littlebigplanet. Matt, Don and for the first time, Josh and Phil team up and create what may be the worst team in gaming history. There's lots of deaths, suicides, crazy physics and tons of humor. It might be our funniest yet. So sit back, relax and grab some littlebigpopcorn and enjoy Littlebigplanet.

Luigi's Mansion (LIVE)

Our first live Let's Play, Luigi's Mansion was our way of celebrating Halloween with our fans. Matt plays his way through this Gamecube classic while many of the others join in for the ride. These videos come complete with the fan chat from the stream so get ready for five hours worth of Boo puns!

Mega Man

You'll probably notice, we love Mega Man here at Adamant Ditto. But believe it or not, the first Mega Man was one of our last Mega Man Let's Plays, though it was the first one we originally attempted to do. It just ended with technical problems. So we went back and did it later. This one's pretty sound though there's only three of us involved.

Mega Man 2

Here it is, folks, our very first Let's Try That Again! The fan favorite Mega Man game, Mega Man 2. We hadn't quite found our groove yet but this one is still pretty entertaining, if only because it includes the man, the myth, the legend himself; Phil Sykes.

Mega Man 3

Our second Let's Play and we had already hit our peak, all thanks to the infamous Top Spin moment. With the help of our very funny friend, David Hurley, this is one Let's Try That Again that will always live on in infamy.

Mega Man 4

Mega Man 4, perhaps Ricky's favorite Mega Man game, is a fun little Let's Play. It features our good friend Jess and of course, Toad Man. There are references abound so enjoy this all too overlooked Mega Man classic.

Mega Man 5

Our Let's Play of Mega Man 5 is a fun one because we recorded it late at night and everybody was really tired and acting pretty goofy. Plus, it features Mets in Trains, so it has to be perhaps the best Let's Play ever if not the best Mega Man game ever.

Mega Man 6

In honor of our one year anniversary on Youtube, we decided to play the long anticipated Mega Man 6! Yes, all five of us sit in and watch Ricky work his way through some ridiculous, racist robot masters to fight the evil Mr. X. You're in for quite a ride. Also featuring cannons on springs!

Mega Man 7

Oh boy, now here is a Let's Play, kids. This is easily the most frustrating playthrough we have ever done. It's littered with technical difficulties and just genuine annoying game moments, we almost didn't finish it! It took us a few days but Ricky pressed on like a trooper and we finally beat it. Friendships were tested along the way but in the end, it was will that overcame the program.

Mega Man 8

We just can't get enough Mega Man here at Adamant Ditto, so Don decided to take on Mega Man 8 for the Playstation. Get ready to soar through the sky with Auto and Eddie, hunt for bolts, embarrass Astro Man and take down Dr. Wahwee. If you're not ready, we'll be sure to make a Popsicle out of you and if you are, well, see you in our dreams!

Mega Man Legends 3

Bahahahahahahahahaha!

Mega Man X

Right after we finished Don's Aladdin Let's Play, Ricky took the wheel and jump and shot his way through Mega Man X. Join us as we make fun of him and each other, as well as the ridiculous nature of some of the bosses and enemies all while Ricky tries to get everyone not to quote Egoraptor the whole time. Here's a hint as to how that went; Not well.

Mega Man X2

For the first time in Adamant Ditto history, a true Mega Man game is being played by someone else other than Ricky! Ricky doesn't really care for the Mega Man X games past the first one so Don takes the helm and hoverbikes right into Mega Man X2, which features the worst Mavericks ever. Whatever! In this Let's Play, EVERYBODY is going down!

Mega Man X3

Don returns to play Mega Man X3 which has better Mavericks than the previous installment but no Street Fighter moves. X and Zero now face a new threat, Dr. Doppler. Hear us explain multiple times what the Doppler effect is and watch X become a Jedi in this LTTA.

Mega Man X4

We're back with Mega Man X's foray into the 32-bit world! For the first time, you get to choose between X and Zero, complete with their own story and cutscenes and unique gameplay. Since Zero has the hair and is top tier, it only makes sense that we had to go with him for this LTTA! So, prepare your butts for some Cyber Mandarins as Don runs through this one.

Metroid Fusion

The first real indication that we don't actually know how to play video games, Metroid Fusion is still one of our finest. Ricky plays through his favorite Metroid game and runs into all sorts of frightening enemies and frightening puzzles. We make it out alive but just barely. You'll have to watch to see why.

Metroid: Zero Mission

Ricky is back once again in the role of Samus Aran, saving the galaxy one Metroid at a time. It's been awhile since our Metroid Fusion Let's Play and it's always been one of our favorites so we figured, why not play another Metroid game? We landed on Metroid: Zero Mission for the Gameboy Advance and trust us, there's plenty of laughs, plenty of unrelated conversation and plenty of Ricky getting lost. Just like Metroid Fusion!
Mighty Final Fight

Beat 'Em Up Month marched on with the continuing adventures of Cody, Guy and Mike Haggar. Only this time they're quite a bit smaller than you remember them. Yes, Matt takes on the adorable NES version of the Final Fight series, Mighty Final Fight. Get ready to feel awkward about how cute you find Haggar and Andore as we plow through Metro City one last time in glorious 8-Bit.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

Our second longest Let's Play, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is Matt's first leading role as the one playing the game. Which makes sense, it is one of his favorite games of all time. He's not very good at it but it's fun to watch anyway. So come on and take a peak at one Nintendo's finest moments.

Pokémon Puzzle Challenge

After a let's play as long as Skyward Sword, we decided it might be time to do some short and sweet Let's Try That Agains and Kyle decided to play Pokémon Puzzle Challenge for the Gameboy Color. Watch as he stacks blocks, loses his Pokémon and get absolutely annihilated by Hitmontop. How could you possibly go wrong?!

Pokémon Snap

Before we discovered Pokémon Showdown, we were planning to do a Let's Play of Pokémon Snap. We finally got around to doing that. So join us as we take a ride down the familiar locales of Pokémon Island, (poorly) snap pictures of the creatures in their naturally environment and complain about the fact that there isn't a sequel yet. It's great!
 Pokémon: Yellow Version

This is a big one for us for multiple reasons. For starters, it's perhaps our most requested Let's Play ever with many people asking us to play some sort of Pokémon game. Second, it's Kyle's first Let's Play. Yep, Kyle's finally stepping behind the wheel. It's also set to be perhaps our longest yet so sit back, relax and enjoy us play one of the original Pokémon classics!

Portal

Portals, puzzles, companion cubes, cake, plenty of blood, and internet drops ahoy! Watch as Don revisits this surprise little package from The Orange Box by Valve. See him defy gravity by jumping through flaming hoops until the very end, for the people that are still alive.

The Punisher

Beat 'Em Up Month continued as Ricky and Matt played through one of the most hardcore games we've ever played on the channel; The Punisher for the arcade. The Punisher and Nick Fury kick, shoot and blast their way through numerous thugs as they try to make their way to the Kingpin himself. There's plenty of explosions, stabbing, flamethrowers and lots, of lots of manliness. You're in for one hell of ride with this one.

Sailor Moon R

As is common around here, this one happened on accident when Ricky and Matt were just playing some games. They ended up beating it and thought it was funny, so it became a Let's Play. So enjoy as they fight off Plok and Boob Ladies in the manliest beat 'em up ever made and try to answer the ultimate question; just who is hotter?

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game

We do a love a good beat-em-up around here and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game is one of the best. Based on the hit comic books and the cult classic movie, Matt and Carissa take on Ramona's 7 evil-exes in this 16-bit, old-school style beat-em-up. It's time to hit love where it hurts but remember, don't eat the bread. It makes you fat.

Sesame Street Countdown

On the night of the sad death of Jerry Nelson, we decided to play a game honoring him, a game Ricky remembers from childhood; Sesame Street Countdown staring The Count. It's a simple game designing for three-year-olds but good ol' Adamant Ditto finds a way to make it entertaining anyway. Also, Matt sucks at everything so it's fun to watch him screw up in a preschool game.

Sonic Generations (Blind)

With all of Matt's Sonic reviews, we decided that after getting Generations, he should do a blind Let's Play of it. So, that's what we're doing. This is Matt's first time playing Sonic Generations on the PS3 recorded just for you! There will be fun, excitement, fanboy outbursts, it's great! The videos can be a little jumpy from time to time, sorry about that. It's because of it being ripped from a stream.

Sonic R (LIVE)

Part of our April Fool's 2012 Live Stream, basically, we played two games that we think are not so good, the first of which being Sonic R. So come back to the city with us to feel the sunshine while we go back in time with this super sonic racing experience. If we can work it out, it's sure to be quite an experience.

Sonic the Hedgehog

Here's another LTTA which was never meant to happen. Matt was streaming one night, beat the game and decided to put it up. However, it's half talk about the game, half talk about Zelda, Mario, cartoons. It's a strange one but hey, we like to think we're pretty interesting regardless.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2

This Let's Play was never planned and we never even talked about doing Sonic 2 before but it ended up being a good one. So sit back and enjoy one of the best Sonic games of all time. Disclaimer: If you're looking for a Let's Play where all the Chaos Emeralds are fond and savestates/cheat codes are not used, you've come to the wrong place. The very wrong place.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles

One night when we had our good friend David (Mega Man 3) online, Ricky decided to play one of his all time favorite games; Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Unlike Sonic 2, he actually can get all the Chaos and Super Emeralds in this one, making it a more complete Let's Play. Fun times were had by all so enjoy the best Sonic game ever made!

Super Mario RPG: The Legend of the Seven Stars

One of the best games the SNES has to offer, Ricky takes us through our first RPG Let's Play. It's one of our best, if not our very best, so get ready. You have to be in for the long haul to watch this one, though as it's quite long. About 15 hours, in fact.

Super Mario 64

Our 50th Let's Try That Again! We decided to go all out with this one by having not one, not two, but four different people play a single player game. Yes, Ricky, Matt, Don and Phil all took turns collecting 30 Stars in our 50th LTTA Extravaganza! We hope you enjoy our take on one of the most popular games of all time as much as we did.

Venom/Spider-Man: Separation Anxiety (LIVE)

Part of our April Fool's 2012 Live Stream, basically, we played two games that we think are not so good, the second of which being Venom/Spider-Man: Separation Anxiety for the SNES. Ricky and Matt plow through one of the most boring and monotonous beat-em-ups ever, all while showing off their amazing butts and dance moves.

Wario Land 4

Waaah ha ha ha! Ricky takes on one of the Game Boy Advance's best games staring everybody's favorite king of greed, Wario Land 4. Join us as we explore all the areas surrounding the Golden Pyramid, find treasures, help Ricky deal with his plant fetish and do some pretty awful impressions. It's sure to be one interesting experience.

WWF Betrayal

Beat 'Em Up Month continued with an obscure little wrestling based game on the Gameboy Color. WWF Betrayal allows you to take the role of one of your favorite wrestlers and do absolutely no wrestling whatsoever. Instead, you get to beat up fat referees, Luigis and Cheech Marin. Let's hope your roody-poo candy ass can handle it because Beat 'Em Up Month was in full force with this one.

X-Men

Beat 'Em Up Month comes to a close with one of the most well-remembered Beat 'Em Ups of all time; X-Men the Arcade Game. Famous for supporting up to six players, X-Men featured some of the most popular superheroes of all time (plus Dazzler) as they took on Pyro, Emma Frost and of course, Magneto. Matt, Don, Phil, Josh, viewer Charge77 and some random guy plow through the PSN rerelease of this one one dive kick at a time.
